Written on 9:24 AM by CS
Rojak, basically means campur or mixture, is a snack that widely enjoyed in Malaysia, Singapore and even Indonesia.
There are few types of rojak available including mamak rojak (also known as Indian rojak), Indonesian rojak and fruits rojak. Fruits rojak normally consists of cucumber, pineapple, turnip (jicama), bean sprouts, taupok (puffed soya bean cake), cuttlefish and fried eu char koay.
These ingredients are cut into small pieces, bite-sized for easy consumption. The gravy, or prawn paste is then added into the ingredients where they will be mixed thoroughly. For those who like it spicy, they can also request some chilly sauce (normally ground type) to be mixed as well. Before served, the rojak is sprinkled with sesame seeds to give extra taste.
